How to Encourage English Department Students to Speak English more Often and Confidently

Speaking English is very important for us majoring in English Education. However, many students do not speak English. Most students are still lazy to practice speaking English and students are not confident to speak English. Some ways for students to practice and confident in speaking English.

First, increase student interest in English. Each meeting in different learning techniques in teaching students, so students are easy to accept learning English. An interesting way in learning is by discussion. Then, the discussion is divided into 2 groups and the students can express their opinions in the discussion. That way students are active in speaking English.

Second, if students have mistake in speaking, do not bully in front of other friends because of his mistake. We must teach the students properly so that students understand their mistakes. So that students can further improve speak english.

Third, students often listen to western music and often also watch Western movies without subtitle. So that students can train, listen, and write in the film. Because of listening students will be trained in speaking English.

Fourth, using a mobile phone also improves students learning English. Can change the variety of languages ​​especially English to be familiar with learning English. Because in these days, mobile phones are abused by students sometimes just to play games on mobile phones not used for useful things. Then, students can develop in speaking English. In addition, the mobile app encourages interaction by calling the child to touch, tap, swipe, shake, and talk to the device as much as possible. In other words, a mobile device is not a passive screen that vibrates mind-bending 'edutainment', but a dynamic and challenging digital playmate.
